40-Day Lenten Devotional and Scripture Writing Plan

Are you looking for a convenient way to meditate on God’s Word this Lenten season? I have a great resource that can help you do this in less than 10 minutes per day!

A Convenient Lenten Devotional and Scripture Writing Plan

There are about 40 days between Ash Wednesday and Palm Sunday. I’ve prepped a new 40-day devotional and Scripture writing plan for you.

If you meditate on God’s Word for the next 40 days, your faith will be stronger. You’ll have more peace because you’ll be putting on the mind of Christ as you study his word. By writing out his word, you’ll be almost twice as likely to remember it as compared to simply reading it.

I’m planning to meditate intentionally on these verses during Lent. I’ve chosen verses that focus on spiritual growth. Themes like growing in service to others, having a heart soft and ready for God to use, and making plans that please God first.

This is a paid resource because it’s 81 pages long, but it will only cost you the equivalent of one lunch out or a couple trips to Starbucks. You can print it yourself or take it to a printer. Each day has a brief devotional, then a writing page where you write the verse out three times. Here’s a sample for you:

Lenten Devotional – Day 10

Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
Psalm 51:10-12 NIV

When I am brought face-to-face with my sin, I typically respond in three unhealthy ways: denial, making excuses, or beating myself up.

In this psalm, David provides a wonderful example of how to respond to sin in a healthy manner.

He is humble; David doesn’t deny his sin or make excuses, and he doesn’t beat himself up.

He depends fully on God to make everything right again by cleansing, drawing near, restoring joy, and granting an obedient spirit.

This is a positive approach to dealing with sin.

Reflection:

How do you respond when confronted or convicted with sin?

Here’s a sneak peek at how this devotion will look on the printable.
