April 2026 Christian Book Picks
I chose these books as my top picks because they had the most meaningful impact on my mind and heart. I hope my shares about them inspire you to read them yourself.
Considering Sparrows
This book was a pure delight to read. I love bird watching and I learned many new and interesting facts from the author’s research and stories. He does an excellent job of pulling spiritual truths from the lessons birds teach us. His writing style is winsome with warmth and humor. I feel inspired and uplifted after reading, and I highly recommend it even if you aren’t yet a birdwatcher.

True to You
I enjoyed every minute of this book, which was an intriguing opposites-match love story. It has surprises along the way to keep you engaged, and it had me laughing out loud too. I also enjoyed book 2 in this series in April, and I look forward to reading book 3 in May.

Hidden Seeds
This is the third book in an incredibly well-written series, and I’m proud to have been the book launch manager for all three books. The author engages all five senses to paint wonderful pictures of the characters thoughts and actions. It’s another visit to the small southern town of Dahlia, which knits the characters together very well. This book focuses on the problem of trafficking and hooks you with twists to the story. Multiple characters are drawn so well that you want to know more about each one. I was moved deeply by this story, and I am looking forward to the next one in the series!

The Best Possible Life
This book is full of profound insights and motivational truths that can help you overcome problems in new ways. The author is a former pro baseball player and is now a high-profile motivational speaker. I am still thinking about this book days after I read it. It gives me new spiritual and personal goals to pursue.

Good News About Self Care
This book gives a charismatic glimpse into relationship problems to avoid, plus ways to strengthen your relationships. I appreciated the unique angles and insights. The sections I liked most dealt with breaking soul ties and decreeing biblical truths. I learned new things from this book that will help me in several situations.

Daughter of the Rebellion
This is an insightful look into the final days of gladiators in Roman culture. I was fully swept away into an intriguing world that captured the cultural extremes and dynamics well. The two main characters are thoughtfully drawn, and you get to know their deepest feelings well. I appreciated the look into ancient medicinal practices and the training required for the gladiators. The influence of Christianity is also captured well. It’s not your average historical fiction read – very interesting and intellectually engaging.

Dissonant Chords, Joyful Harmony
This is an encouraging book from an author who has had many struggles. She talks about her struggles with health, finances, and relationships with honesty. She shares details from Bible stories to show us how to apply biblical principles to our struggles. I like the music metaphors carried throughout each short chapter. There are plenty of QR codes to listen to the music that has uplifted her in her journey, and they will be good to add to your own playlists. I’m leading the book launch for it now and you can join HERE.

The Perimenopause Devotional
This book bubbles over with humor, which is the perfect tone for a topic that frustrates and confuses many women. I enjoyed the short, laughter-producing devotions that were also educational, affirming, and encouraging. I loved how the author continually brought me back to how God sees me and loves me unconditionally, despite the rapid changes of perimenopause. It’s a light read for a heavy subject that will uplift a woman entering this often-bewildering life stage. It would make a great gift for a woman you love.
