Yesterday afternoon I was hacked by a malicious tech support pop-up. In my desperation, I consented to the deceivers’ terms.
They lied over and over, promising to fix my computer remotely. Promising to accept payment wisely. Promising to install shields of protection when they were really scanning my computer for gold.
I didn’t recognize the red flags until it was too late. Then later I read this infographic, and learned how badly I was scammed.
How to Show Love to a Bully
Today’s post is based on chapter 14 of my book, Newness of Life.
In my current season, I face a bully almost every day. A person who makes every interaction unpleasant. A person who doesn’t own their bully status, but fights with snarky words and subtle put-downs. A person who does all they can to convey the message that I’m unwanted, unappreciated, and better off somewhere else.
This bully gives me the perfect opportunity for a time to love even when it’s hard. Over time I’ve adopted five practices for showing love to this bully.
