I love being a book launch manager, and I’ve also managed my own book launches in the past. Over the past 10 years, I’ve participated in dozens of launch teams. Here are my thoughts on the top 10 reasons you need a book launch manager.

The Top 10 Reasons You Need a Book Launch Manager

    1. You are new to the world of book publishing.

      An experienced book launch manager will help you know what to do and what not to do for your book launch. First time authors can easily get overwhelmed with all there is to do. A book launch manager can take care of the launch while you do the essential work of platform building (and I can coach you on this too).

    2. You are self-publishing for the first time.

      With a self-published book, all the marketing responsibilities are on you. You can share those with a book launch manager so you don’t have to bear the full load on your own.

    3. You are publishing with a traditional publisher.

      Many traditional publishers do not give you much help, monetarily or otherwise, with marketing your book. But the manager for your book launch can help you do that.

    4. Social media isn’t your jam.

      Social media is an essential tool for launching your book. If you don’t love social media, your manager can handle it mostly on your behalf. Just know that the most successful launches do involve some author participation.

    5. You work full-time.

      A book launch is time-consuming, and it also requires physical and emotional energy. If you don’t have the bandwidth to handle this on top of your day job, it’s wise to hire experienced help.

    6. You have a thriving ministry.

      You need to devote plenty of time and energy to keeping your ministry going. Adding a book launch on top of that could cause stress and anxiety. A book launch manager can serve your launch team while you serve your people.

    7. Your followers are new to launch teams.

      Perhaps the people who will be most helpful in spreading the message about your book have no experience being on launch teams. A seasoned book launch manager will know how to explain how launch teams work to newbies.

    8. You are good at some tasks, but not others.

      Maybe you’re great at graphics, but you don’t love Facebook groups. Perhaps you love speaking, but you aren’t a detail-oriented person. A book launch manager will be good at all these things necessary for a successful book launch. You can get a customized package to fit your unique needs.
