Saturday Sips December 2021

Saturday Sips is a short recollection of what I’ve learned this month. I’m following a format known as Share Four Somethings, and I hope it inspires your own reflections on what you’ve learned this December.

Something Loved

I found this reindeer in the e-cycle bin at the recycling center yesterday. A $2.50 strand of lights transformed it, and it’s a great addition to our little light show!

I also love this new drink combo of spice tea and hot cocoa inspired by my friend Becky. It’s delicious! Check out the ingredients I’m using HERE.

Something Read or Said

These are the books I’m reading to help me observe Advent this year – check them out HERE.

Do you know the most-searched term on Biblegateway.com during 2021? It surprised me. Learn more HERE.

I saw this fact in Real Simple magazine, and I thought, “Wow!” Brain science is so fascinating. Read the full article in this issue.

Something Treasured

Last weekend I treasured the time I spent packing meals with my daughter and her two friends for the Feed My Starving Children event. The four of us packed over 300 meals in under two hours!

Then my daughter and I went to the Saturday night church service together. After the service, she said, “Mom, when I’m grown up, I think we should make this a habit. We’ll go to church together, then maybe to dinner on Saturday nights.” What a thrill to hear this from her! And I pray this treasured moment will come true according to God’s will.

Something Ahead

I am in an organizing mood, and I spent an hour organizing my office last weekend. In the next few months, I want to get every room in the house organized.

I found this cool tool to help me organize one of my kitchen drawers. No more lost, scattered batteries which confuse me about whether they are good or not. This holder comes with its own tester. Get your own HERE.

I’ll be going to see The Chosen Christmas episode at the movie theater this week. Watch the trailer HERE.

EXCITING NEWS: I am starting a new venture as a book launch manager! I already have several clients lined up for 2022. Want more information? Simply reply to this email and check out my Services page for more information.

Also, I’ll be working on two new book proposals, and Part 2 of my Women of Integrity course. All of those will be ready in January! You can learn more about the current Women of Integrity course here.
