An Invitation to Newness of Life

Dear friends, I am busy writing this new book to publish on Amazon as an e-book on January 8.  I’m diving into the seasons of life in Ecclesiates: planting and harvesting, tearing and mending, silence and speaking, and much more.

This book is all about seeking trust in God’s timing as you weather life’s inevitable changes.  I will take a break from blogging this week as I write the book, and I hope you will join me for the online Bible study January 9 – February 3.

What life seasons and changes are you facing this year?  Here’s my 2017 list:

  • Writing seven new Bible studies
  • Seeking God’s will for work and writing
  • Attending the She Speaks Conference in July 2017
  • Supporting my husband as he develops his first subdivision
  • Watching my oldest son officially enter the teen years
  • Teaching my middle son about adolescence as he turns 11
  • Building godly character in my daughter as she turns 9
  • Reaching the 40-year-old milestone in October
  • And of course, changes yet unknown

I want to trust God as I enter new territory.  Entering new seasons can be intimidating.  I want to seek God’s truth as I navigate new hills and valleys.

I want to seek out advice from others who have gone through these changes before:  the challenges of raising teenagers, the challenges of adjusting to changes in my middle-aged body, and the challenges of pursuing my dream to write full-time.

I want to help others who are in places I’ve traveled before.  I’ve faced seasons of financial difficulty, relationship problems, and emotional struggles.  In Newness of Life, I will reveal some of those trials in hope that you will gain comfort and strength.

What challenges do you face in your transitions?  How do you want your faith to grow in the process?  Join me for the journey in my new book this January.

  • Wow, ambitious new year plans!! Thanks for the inspiration. I love your 2017 list. Makes me think! Blessings as you write : )

    • Sarah

Bethany, thanks! I am busy writing and enjoying life this week with family and friends. It’s busy but wonderful. If you write a 2017 list, please let me know! I would love to see other goal lists online also. Blessed to be part of such a wonderful Xn women blogging community!

  • Seeking God’s timing for transition is exactly where I’m at. And a pastor friend was praying for me several weeks ago and told me that I was “in Ecc. 3.” I’m going to check out your study when it releases. Praying for you as you finish preparing.

    • Sarah

Kelly, this means so much to me. I appreciate your prayers and your interest in the study. I’m writing and researching as we speak. God is bringing very timely conversations to me as I write. If you have any insight into these verses, I will be happy to include it in the book. Send me something through my Contact page if you like, by Friday. Thank you!

  • I don’t know about changes this year, but we are praying about one in 2018. Trying to be open to what God brings us!
    Congrats on your ebook!

    • Sarah

Thanks Sarah, if you would like me to pray alongside you, send me a note on my Contact page. I promise to keep it private. Blessings to you, and I hope you may be willing to check out my book when it releases very soon.

  • So important for us to hear the truth that the invitation to newness of life comes to us fresh everyday!

    • Sarah

Thanks Michele! Blessings to you, and I look forward to your comments when this new study begins!

  • Amy Jung

I love your goals! Lots of changes to seek the Lord in. Your book sounds great. I’d love to be on the launch team. Minimally I’d write a review on Amazon and share on Twitter and Facebook at least once. Hopefully I’d do more for you but I know how overwhelming life gets!!!

    • Sarah

So glad you are willing, Amy! I am pretty sure I still have your email address in my comments. I will send it to the one listed, and if I have problems finding it, I will let you know friend! Blessings to you! You are one of my best cheerleaders!

  • Wow, Sarah, it sounds like you have an amazing year ahead of you. I pray that God will bless you and grant you the righteous desires of your heart as you seek to put Him first (Psalm 37:4).
By the way, my birthday is in October as well but I’m a ‘few’ years ahead of you. Saying how much would be saying too much. Lol 🙂
Blessings and sparkles for the New Year!

Hi Marva, thanks for your kind comments! One of my favorite verses is Ps. 37:4. It’s on a picture in my hallway, often on my mind. Thanks for your prayers, and your encouragement as a fellow Oct. baby! Love your sparkles!

  • Kori

Wow! Definitely a big year for you!! I look forward to your book and bible studies!! 🙂

    • Sarah

Thanks Kori! Blessings to you! Newness of Life is debuting Jan. 8 as an Amazon e-book. Hope you will read it and join in on the community discussion here.

  • It is amazing how many things we have in common! I have at least half of the same milestones/goals ahead of me this year. SheSpeaks is amazing! I can’t wait to hear more about your experience!

    • Sarah

Wonderful! Are you planning to attend SheSpeaks 2017? It’s been a dream of mine for several years, and now I believe God is saying it’s time to go. If you’ve gone before, what is the best takeaway you’ve had? I hope we can meet up in person there!
